Wheat, Corn, Soybean Inspections Continue Ahead of Last Year
Total corn export inspections are up 31% from last year. Soybean inspections are 16% higher than last year. Wheat inspections are 32% higher than last year.
OMAHA (DTN) — USDA released its weekly Export Inspections report Monday for the week ended Nov. 28. Total corn inspections were 36.8 million bushels (mb) for the week. Soybean inspections totaled 76.7 mb. Wheat inspections were 10.9 mb.
Corn inspections totaled 36.8 mb for the week ended Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024. Total inspections in 2024-25 are now at 436 mb, up 31% from the previous year. USDA is estimating corn exports at 2.325 billion bushels (bb) in 2024-25, up 2% from the previous year. Corn inspections in 2024-25 are running well above USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of corn ending stocks is the highest in six years.
Soybean inspections totaled 76.7 mb for the week ended Nov. 28. Total inspections in 2024-25 are now at 801 mb, up 16% from the previous year. USDA is estimating soybean exports at 1.825 bb in 2024-25, up 7% from the previous year. Soybean inspections in 2024-25 are running ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of soybean ending stocks is the highest in five years.
Wheat inspections totaled 10.9 mb for the week ended Nov. 28. Total wheat inspections in 2024-25 are now at 404 mb, up 32% from the previous year. USDA is estimating wheat exports at 825 mb in 2024-25, up 17% from the previous year. Wheat inspections in 2024-25 are running well above USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of wheat ending stocks is the highest in four years.
