What DTN is Watching

Markets

To begin September, USDA will release their monthly Grain and Oilseed Crush reports (with data from July) after the close at 2 p.m. CDT. There are no other major reports scheduled to begin the month, and traders will likely continue to focus on upcoming U.S. production combined with the ongoing geopolitical concerns around the globe.

Weather

A front has essentially stalled out from Nebraska to Michigan and then into the Mid-Atlantic for Tuesday. Areas of showers and thunderstorms will develop near the front and some of those could be severe. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Edouard will move into east Texas with a limited area of heavy rain Tuesday afternoon. This storm is another example of a very brief close-in tropical storm this season.
