What DTN is Watching

Markets

Wednesday looks to be a quiet day for reports, with the weekly Petroleum Status report due out from the Energy Information Administration at 9:30 a.m. CDT. Otherwise, traders will monitor the morning export wire for more sales, while keeping tabs on the ongoing situations in the Middle East and Black Sea.

Weather

A stalled front across the north continues to be the focal point for developing showers and thunderstorms for Wednesday as a disturbance moves along it through the Midwest. Another system is moving into the Pacific Northwest and will push more energy into the Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies. Meanwhile, it remains hot and mostly dry south of the front outside of the remnants of short-lived tropical storm Edouard, which is bringing a compact burst of heavy rain in eastern Texas.
