Wheat, Corn, Soybean Inspections Continue Ahead of Last Year
Total corn export inspections are up 32% from last year. Soybean inspections are 19% higher than last year. Wheat inspections are 30% higher than last year.
OMAHA (DTN) — USDA released its weekly Export Inspections report Monday for the week ended Dec. 05. Total corn inspections were 41.3 million bushels (mb). Soybean inspections totaled 59.6 mb. Wheat inspections were 8.3 mb.
Corn inspections totaled 41.3 mb for the week ended Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024. Total inspections in 2024-25 are now at 478 mb, up 32% from the previous year. USDA is estimating corn exports at 2.325 billion bushels (bb) in 2024-25, up 2% from the previous year. Corn inspections in 2024-25 are running well above USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of corn ending stocks is the highest in six years.
Soybean inspections totaled 59.6 mb for the week ended Dec. 5. Total inspections in 2024-25 are now at 861 mb, up 19% from the previous year. USDA is estimating soybean exports at 1.825 bb in 2024-25, up 7% from the previous year. Soybean inspections in 2024-25 are running ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of soybean ending stocks is the highest in five years.
Wheat inspections totaled 8.3 mb for the week ended Dec. 5. Total wheat inspections in 2024-25 are now at 412 mb, up 30% from the previous year. USDA is estimating wheat exports at 825 mb in 2024-25, up 17% from the previous year. Wheat inspections in 2024-25 are running well above USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of wheat ending stocks is the highest in four years.
