Wheat, Corn, Soybean Inspections Ahead of Last Year
Total corn export inspections are up 33% from last year. Soybean inspections are 2% higher than last year. Wheat inspections are 34% higher than last year.
OMAHA (DTN) — USDA released its weekly Export Inspections report Monday for the week ended Oct. 24. Total corn inspections were 32.4 million bushels (mb) for the week. Soybean inspections totaled 87.9 mb. Wheat inspections were 9.1 mb.
Corn inspections totaled 32.4 mb for the week ended Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024. Total inspections in 2024-25 are now at 261 mb, up 33% from the previous year. USDA is estimating corn exports at 2.325 billion bushels (bb) in 2024-25, up 2% from the previous year. Corn inspections in 2024-25 are running above USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of corn ending stocks is the highest in six years.
Soybean inspections totaled 87.9 mb for the week ended Oct. 24. Total inspections in 2024-25 are now at 382 mb, up 2% from the previous year. USDA is estimating soybean exports at 1.850 bb in 2024-25, up 9% from the previous year. Soybean inspections in 2024-25 are running below USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of soybean ending stocks is the highest in six years.
Wheat inspections totaled 9.1 mb for the week ended Oct. 24. Total wheat inspections in 2024-25 are now at 349 mb, up 34% from the previous year. USDA is estimating wheat exports at 825 mb in 2024-25, up 17% from the previous year. Wheat inspections in 2024-25 are running well above USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of wheat ending stocks is the highest in four years.
