Dry Whey - Europe

Released on August 27, 2026

Dry whey prices increased across the range in Europe this reporting period.
Milk output continues to decline in the region, which is causing some
cheesemakers to run lighter schedules, and reducing the supply of liquid whey
available for drying. Plant managers report lighter dry whey output in recent
weeks, and they anticipate production to remain limited in the coming weeks.
Demand for dry whey varies throughout the region, but contacts say export
interest and demand from animal feed customers is picking up. Spot purchasers
are having a more difficult time finding loads of dry whey but say they can
generally find enough to meet their immediate needs, if they search for it.

Prices for: West Europe, All First Sales, Free on Board - Port, Edible Dry Whey
Price Range - Non-Hygroscopic; Dollars per Metric Ton: 1625 - 2450
