The last reported sale was three weeks ago, so a market comparison can not be
made. Moderate demand for todays smaller sale of mostly home raised yearling
steers and tested open heifers. The offering was mostly attractive with light
to moderate flesh. Volatility in cattle futures, along with continued severe
drought conditions has feeders cautious. The next sale is August 28, and is a
yearling special.
