Dry Buttermilk - East and Central U.S.

Released on August 27, 2026

Buttermilk powder (BMP) markets are showing slightly firmer pricing, although
the increase is modest and moving higher, in line with the broader powder
market. Overall production remains limited, but product is still available.
Some feed buyers are incorporating BMP as a lower-cost substitute for nonfat
dry milk as higher NDM values encourage adjustments in feed formulations.
Market contacts report stronger demand this week. Buyers, including
confectionary and condiment manufacturers, are making inquiries for fourth
quarter and early first-quarter needs, contributing to increased forward
purchasing activity. The price range increased at both the bottom and top ends
of the range to reflect current market activity. The market tone is steady to
firm.

Prices for: Central/East US, All First Sales, F.O.B., Edible Buttermilk Powder
