SC Farm Report on Wednesday
SC Livestock Auctions: No comparisons made due to limited comparable
sales. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 350-400 lbs 410.00. Feeder
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 300-350 lbs 400.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and
Large 1 350-400 lbs 430.00, 400-450 lbs 410.00. Slaughter Cows: Boner 80-
85% lean 162.00-169.00, Lean 85-90% lean 157.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average
Dressing 200.00-217.00.
Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-320 lbs was 66.93. Sows live
price 300-450 lbs 59.56; 450-500 lbs 66.53; 500-550 lbs 65.19.
SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 10 cents higher, new crop bids
were 10 cents higher; new crop elevator bids 4.83-5.78, current corn
elevator bid 5.53, current processor bids 5.13-5.63, new crop corn
processor bids 5.64-5.94. Soybean bids were 21 to 22 cents higher; new
crop bids 20 to 21 cents higher; current elevator bids 12.02, new crop
elevator bids 12.17-12.57 and new crop export 12.62-12.66. Wheat bids
were 10 to 16 cents higher, New Crop Wheat bids were 13 cents higher;
current elevator bids 6.40, New Crop elevator buds 7.02, and processors
5.48-8.30.
Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 2.88
higher at 84.00.
