SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,542 lbs at 220.65 heifers 1,349 lbs at 221.70. Dressed 
delivered steers 989 lbs at 349.32 heifers 882 lbs at 350.00. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 5.13 lower at 376.23
and Select 1.89 higher at 361.08.  
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average compared
to last week, Early weaned pigs are 3.00 lower and feeder pigs
are mostly 9.00 lower. Trading moderate to active, with light to moderate demand
for moderate to heavy offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 43.37;
40 lbs cash basis 59.44.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was 0.62 lower at 
66.47.   
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 63.07 450-499 lbs 69.23, and 500-549 lbs 
70.93.
   SC Grain on Monday: corn bids were 3 cents higher; elevator bids current
5.80, processor bid 5.55-6.05. Soybean bids were 1 cent lower; 
elevator bid current 12.55, export bid 13.13. Wheat bids were 3 to 10 cents 
higher;
elevator bid current 7.16.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.78 higher
at 88.70.
