Prices for butter increased across the range during the current reporting 
period. Milk output continues to decline, following seasonal trends, in the 
region. Contacts say declining production and lower component levels are 
negatively impacting cream production. Butter makers report strong demand for 
cream from other dairy processors, limiting spot availability for churns, and 
contributing to lighter production schedules. Demand is steady in some parts of 
Europe but strengthening in other areas. Spot loads of butter are available, 
but inventories are tightening somewhat. Butteroil prices increased across the 
range in Europe. Production schedules have declined in recent weeks, which has 
contributed to lighter spot availability. Demand is unchanged.
