Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers steady to 2.00 higher.
Demand was moderate to good on this limited offering of long fed cattle with
the majority of the steers being on the heavier side. Choice boxed beef cutout
was up $4 in the morning with no bids surfacing in the negotiated cash cattle
market as of yet.
Slaughter lambs 10.00 to 20.00 lower. Feeder lambs 10.00 lower on limited,
comparable offerings. Slaughter ewes 2.00 to 12.00 lower. Demand mostly
moderate on this lighter offering. Multiple, attractive sets of exposed
replacement ewes entered the ring today received by solid demand and active
bidding.
