Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers steady to 2.00 higher.
Good demand for this nice offering of attractive steers and heifers. The
market was active, weights continue to come down as more calf fed cattle reach
market weights and are sent to town. 5 full loads of steers, 1 full load of
heifers in the offering, balance stock trailer loads. Cattle were clean as
hides are slicked off now that it's summer time.
Slaughter lambs 10.00 to 14.00 higher. Slaughter ewes mixed, Good ewes 10.00
higher, Utility ewes steady. Good demand for this larger offering of
traditional weight slaughter lambs, moderate to good demand for ewes. Good
demand for feeder lambs as there were quite a few consignments of growthy
looking lambs that could take more feed.
