Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers 2.00 to 3.00 lower.
Moderate to good demand for steers and heifers. The market was not as active
as last week as not all packer buyers participated. Two way buyers were active
bidders, helping to move bids along. A light, seasonal offering on this
holiday shortened week. 1 full load of steers, balance stock trailer loads of
steers and heifers.
Slaughter lambs under 90 lbs sold with higher undertones, over 90 lbs steady to
4.00 higher. Slaughter ewes steady to 5.00 higher. Good demand for all
weights of slaughter lambs. Good demand for feeder lambs, moderate to good for
slaughter ewes.
