FEEDER CATTLE 5597 2609 2809
Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 5.00 to 15.00 higher. A very
large offering of feeder steers and heifers sold on a very active market. As
the cattle futures complex makes new highs, and cash fed cattle reaching the
250.00 mark, there was a lot of optimism on display at the auction. The
competition is fierce, as this is the time of year where auction receipts start
to decline. Many long strings of backgrounded yearling steers and heifers,
offered in full loads and multiple load lots. Flesh condition ranged from
light at times, to mostly moderate to moderate plus.
