Compared to the last reported sale two weeks ago, steers sold 5.00- 15.00
higher with spots 20.00 higher on those under 550 lbs and heifers sold steady
to 5.00 higher. Demand was good for a moderate supply that was heavy to the new
crop calves. Quite a bit of field work is being done and a few fields have been
planted to corn. Slaughter cows sold 5.00-10.00 higher but several cows are
also going back to the farm to feed.
