Completed the third of a 3-day sale held at the Silver Legacy Resort
in Reno, NV.
Demand and seller interest good to very good despite the downward pressure
of Live and Feeder futures last week.
Demand improved throughout the 3 day sale as buyers became more aggressive
and showed very good demand for all classes.
Demand for light weight calves was very good as buyers look to make yearlings
out of these calves.
Many of these calves were purchased to ship west to California as buyers
bet on a favorable El Nino weather pattern, with lots of rain and plenty of
grass.
Demand for weaned calves was very good this sale with many weaned offerings
noticed.
Yearling demand was good as well with many offerings coming off grass.

Heifer demand was very good with many sets of heifers purchased for
replacements.
Many sets sold at the same price of above their steer mates as buyers
look for high quality offerings to rebuild herds.
Very few POs were seen this sale as ranchers took advantage of record
high prices.
Only 6 lots of feeder cattle PO'ed throughout the 3 day sale making less
than 1.0% of over 100,000 feeder cattle offerings! Deliveries so far are
current through February 2027.
Current delivery is 14 days from the last day of the video (July 15th)
and is up to and including July 29, 2026.

Supply included: 99% Feeder Cattle (68% Steers, 31% Heifers, 1% Beef/Dairy
Steers, 0% Beef/Dairy Heifers).

Feeder cattle over 600 lbs was 66%.
