Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were 5.00-10.00 lower. Steer
and heifers calves were 10.00-20.00 lower. Demand was moderate on a very light
supply. Supply was light due to the upcoming holiday and recent market trends.
The Cattle Futures traded mostly on the positive side after being down the
limit on Monday. The USDA released its monthly Cattle on Feed Report on Friday
and reported Inventories were down 2 percent, Placements were down 10 percent
and Markings were down 8 percent.
