Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00-4.00 higher. Steer
and heifer calves sold unevenly steady from 4.00 lower to 4.00 higher. Demand
was good on a heavy supply. The offering was much higher than expected as
producers took advantage of the higher market and the mild weather to bring
calves to town. The largest draft of the day was 134 head of 667 lb. heifers
which sold for 358.00/cwt. Live Cattle Futures traded higher on Tuesday with
Feeder Cattle Futures traded sharply higher.
