Dry Whey - West U.S.

Released on December 24, 2025

Dry whey prices moved 1 cent higher at the bottom end and half a cent lower at
the top end of the range in the West. Prices at both ends of the mostly price
series moved higher. Domestic demand varies from steady to somewhat stronger,
while demand from international buyers is steady to somewhat lighter. Cheese
production is steadily making volumes of liquid whey for utilization. Dry whey
production schedules are mixed for the holiday week. Spot load availability is
tight. For some manufacturers, whey protein concentrates/isolates' price
strength and demand continues to apply pressure on liquid whey volumes utilized
for sweet whey production.
