Dry Whey - West U.S.

Released on May 07, 2026

In the West, dry whey prices moved 1 to 2 cents lower at both ends of the range
and mostly price series. Demand from domestic and international buyers is
steady. Spot load availability varies with brand. Some manufacturers have very
tight inventories for buyers looking to pick up spot loads. Stakeholders
indicate contractual obligations are generally being met. Production of whey
protein concentrates and isolates continues to be more of a priority than sweet
whey for many manufacturers.
