Dry Whey - West U.S.

Released on February 05, 2026

In the West, dry whey prices are unchanged at the bottom and 1 cent higher at
the top of the range this week. The mostly price series is 1 cent lower at both
ends. Domestic demand is moderate. Demand from international buyers is
stronger. Spot load availability remains tight. Sweet whey production schedules
are not robust, and some traders indicate some sweet whey producers are behind
on orders for this quarter. With continued strong prices and buyer demand for
proteins, producers are incentivized to direct liquid whey into whey protein
concentrates and isolates.
