In the West, the bottoms of the range and mostly price series were unchanged, 
but the tops of both shifted higher. Demand for dry buttermilk from domestic 
and international purchasers is steady. Spot inventories of dry buttermilk are 
tight, and some manufacturers say they are sold out through the end of August. 
Purchasers note they can obtain loads to meet their immediate needs if they 
search for them. Dry buttermilk production is steady to lighter, and some plant 
managers say they are reserving a portion of their recent production for use 
later in the year.
