Dry Buttermilk - West U.S.

Released on March 05, 2026

Week 10 West region dry buttermilk prices increased at both ends of the range
and mostly price series. Manufacturers and traders indicate spot load
availability is tighter. Demand from domestic and international buyers is
stronger. Butter churning is producing plenty of liquid buttermilk to dry. Dry
buttermilk production schedules vary from moderate to strong. Some
manufacturers note they continue to give priority to dry milk powder production
over dry buttermilk production if their open drying capacity can't accommodate
both. Many manufacturers are focusing dry buttermilk production on fulfilling
contractual sales.
