Dry Buttermilk - West U.S.

Released on February 19, 2026

Dry buttermilk prices increased at the bottom end and decreased 2 cents at the
top end of the range in the West. The mostly price series is unchanged for week
8. Domestic demand varies from somewhat lighter to somewhat stronger. Sellers
indicate some buyers are looking at buttermilk as a replacement for nonfat dry
milk (NDM) due to tight NDM spot load availability. However, dry buttermilk
spot loads are not plentiful. Although butter production is steadily providing
volumes of liquid buttermilk, dry buttermilk production schedules are mixed, as
drier time is a limiting factor for some manufacturers.
