Butter - West U.S.

Released on October 29, 2025

Milk production and fat components in the West are providing plenty of cream to
go around. Contractual commitments to butter producers are being met and spot
loads are available. Cream multiples are currently unchanged from last week.
Demand for spot cream is stronger with more heavily active seasonal butter
churning. Butter production schedules are strong. Production schedules continue
to focus more heavily on 80% butterfat butter than 82% butterfat butter. Retail
butter loads are widely available, while bulk butter and 82% butterfat butter
loads are comparatively less readily available. Some butter manufacturers
report export demands for 82% butterfat butter are outpacing production.
Domestic demand is steady. Some stakeholders report contractual sales for next
quarter are picking up steam.

Beginning November 1, 2025, this report will be published at 4:00 PM EST/3:00
PM CST.
