Butter - West U.S.

Released on July 09, 2025

Butter makers indicate contractual cream volumes are being received, and, due
to downtime, some parts of the region have more availability of spot cream
loads this week. As of report time, reported cream multiples did not change
from week 27. Butter production schedules vary from steady to stronger. A few
butter manufacturers indicate current spot load prices for cream are holding
them back from running closer to fuller capacities. Butter demand is steady
domestically. Some butter manufacturers indicate retail demand is up
year-over-year, while food service demand is down year-over-year at the start
of July 2025. Export demand is strong.
