Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Demand was good on
a moderate supply. The top slaughter cow sold for 171.00/cwt. and the top
slaughter bull sold for 212.00/cwt. Replacement animals outnumbered slaughter
animals with the top pair bringing 4450.00/pair and the top bred cow bringing
3400.00/head. Some areas received their first frost of the Fall with cooler
temperatures and rain forecasted for the upcoming weekend.
