Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 3.00 lower.
Demand was good on replacement cattle and moderate on slaughter animals. The
supply of replacement cattle was moderate while the supply of slaughter animals
was light. There were twice as many replacement cattle as slaughter animals
with several herds coming to town due to the lack of pastures and water.
Isolated showers earlier in the week did little to improve the drought
conditions in the area.
