Compared to last week, slaughter cows sold 2.00-6.00 higher and slaughter bulls
sold 6.00-8.00 higher. Demand was very good on a light supply. The top
slaughter bull sold for 228.00/cwt. and the top slaughter cow sold for
174.00/cwt. The top bred cow brought 3250.00/head while the top pairs brought
3800.00/pair. The offering was lighter than normal as many producers are
beginning their hay harvest.
