Butter/Butteroil - Europe

Released on September 10, 2026

During the current reporting period, European butter prices decreased at the
bottom of the range, while prices increased at the top. Declining seasonal milk
output and lower component levels in milk are contributing to lighter cream
production. Industry sources say this is contributing to lighter butter
production in the region. Retail demand for butter is strengthening, as grocers
are stocking up ahead of the Fall. Food service sales are steady. Contacts say
the market for bulk butter has been somewhat quiet in recent weeks. Spot loads
of butter are available, but somewhat snug. Prices for butteroil in Europe
moved similarly to butter, moving lower at the bottom of the range and pushing
higher at the top. Contacts say butteroil production is declining but has
softened somewhat in recent weeks. Spot inventories are somewhat snug.
