No recent price comparisons available as the last reported sale was four weeks
ago. Demand was good for several consignments of good quality green yearling
cattle weighing 550-750 lbs with moderate demand for some shorter weaned calves
and little interest in fescue haired cattle during this late bonus week of hot
weather. Cattle futures have lost considerable ground the past couple of days
partly due to concerns over the rising cost of diesel. Slaughter cows sold with
a sharply lower undertone compared to four weeks ago.
