Compared to the sale two weeks ago, feeder steers under 450 lbs firm to 5.00
higher, heavier weights 5.00-15.00 lower. Feeder heifers 10.00-15.00 lower.
Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 lower. Demand moderate. Supply moderate. Good buyer
attendance for another nice feeder offering although everyone wants to buy them
cheaper right now and some buyers never got out of the gate. Feeder contracts
lost another 5.00-6.00 on Wednesday with new world screwworm talk the main
culprit. Cow sale following the feeders featured a nice consignment of
middle-aged fall calving cows.
