Compared to last week: Lambs 50-60lbs, 8.00 lower, on a light test from last
week's smaller showing; 60-70lbs, 12.00 higher; 70-80lbs, sharply higher;
80-90lbs, 9.00 higher; 90-100lbs, 14.00 higher; 110-120lbs, 10.00 higher.
Smaller offering of lambs today, sold on good demand, with a very active market
on the 70lb and up lambs. Good 2-3 Slaughter Ewes were 15.00 higher and sold
on good demand. Comparable replacement ewes were sharply higher, and sold on
very good demand, as a few producers are adding back to their herds, with the
great moisture the summer and fall has brought. The next sale, November 6, is
expected to have more replacement type ewes, with a 120 head dispersal, 120
head of 6 year olds, and 60 3-5 year olds on the list already.
