FEEDER CATTLE 2201 939 1303
Compared to last week, steers sold from 10.00 lower to 6.00 higher based on
limited comparisons last week. Heifers also saw an uneven range of 5.00 higher
to 8.00 lower. Many factors added to a large range of prices today, including a
large drop in the feeder futures board yesterday, and today being a yearling
special sale with many high quality sets of weaned and vaccinated cattle in
town. The high quality cattle brought steady to higher prices, and the short or
unweaned calves and plain conditioned cattle reflected the down futures board.
Vaccinations and weaning are becoming even more important to bidders as fall
weather swings begin in the area. Demand was good on a heavy supply.
