Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 2.00 to 7.00 lower. Good
demand for all weights of steers and heifers this week, however with the cattle
futures contracts under pressure, that pressure carried into the feeder cattle
market at the auctions. Cash fed cattle up to 241.00, but there is much
uncertainty about where the spring high will be. Cattle feeders are back to
feeling defensive about the market and are needing to buy cattle cheaper.
