SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,523 lbs at 228.76, heifers 1,225 lbs at 231.00. Dressed 
delivered steers 953 lbs at 362.09, heifers none reported. Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 359.37, down  
4.90 and Select 345.84, down 6.06.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week: Early 
weaned pigs are firm to 4.00 higher and feeder pigs are 2.00 higher. 
Trading light to moderate, with mostly moderate to good demand and light 
to moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 68.91; 40 lbs 
cash basis 85.19.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not available. 
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 50.60, 450-499 lbs 58.99, and 500-549 lbs 
60.80.
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn was 1 cent lower; elevator bids 4.00-5.15, 
processor bids 4.70-5.25. Soybeans bids were 5 cents lower; elevator bids 
9.32-10.72, processor bid n/a and export 11.02. Wheat bids were 1 to 13 
cents lower; elevator bids 4.81.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.11 
higher at 62.19.
