SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 
400-500 lbs 397.50; 500-550 lbs 375.00-385.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium 
and Large 1 400-450 lbs 370.00-375.00; 500-600 lbs 322.50-337.50. Feeder 
Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-450 lbs 380.00-387.50.  Slaughter cows: 
Breakers 75-80% lean 1 head 1580 lbs @ 140.00; Boners 80-85% lean 
147.00-170.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 135.00-144.00; Lean Low Dressing none reported. 
Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1125-2045 lbs 174.00-187.50; High Dressing 
none reported; Low Dressing 1 head 1785 lbs 169.00. 
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium-Large 1 995-1045 lbs Young to Middle Age with 150-300 
lbs

   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct Barrows 
& Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs were 09 higher at 57.78 and Carcass Base 
Price
was .35 lower at 71.33.  Sows live weighted average price 300-450 lbs 55.67; 
450-500 lbs 66.72 500-550 lbs 66.24.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 7 cents lower; elevator bids 
3.91-5.06, 
processor bids 4.61-5.11. Soybean bids were mostly 9 cents lower, one location 
1 cent higher; elevator bids 9.76-11.06, export bid 11.46. Wheat bids were 
steady to 
7 cents lower; elevator bids 4.97-4.98.
   Cotton on Wednesday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was .11 cents 
lower
at 62.96.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
