SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,531 lbs at 230.70 heifers 1,350 lbs at 230.86. Dressed
delivered steers 991 lbs at 359.64, heifers 868 lbs at 359.78. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 9.46 lower at 367.13
and Select 10.50 lower at 346.36.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average compared
to
last week, Early weaned pigs mostly 3.00 higher and feeder pigs 2.00 higher.
Mostly
moderate demand and moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis
64.34; 40 lbs cash basis 79.34.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was n/a.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 71.21 450-499 lbs 80.04, and 500-549 lbs
84.20.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were mostly 2 to 3 cent higher, one location
8 cents higher; elevator bids 3.96-5.01, processor bids 4.96. Soybeans bids
were
steady to 1 cent lower; elevator bids 9.67-9.87, processor bid n/a and export
10.40.
Wheat bids were mixed; 3 cents lower to 2 cents higher; elevator bid 4.52.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.16
lower at 63.64.
