SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice.  Live FOB
steers 1,551 lbs at 256.86, heifers 1,359 lbs at 256.70. Dressed 
delivered steers 1,009 lbs at 405.19, heifers 904 lbs at 405.23. 
Weekly boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 
392.85, up 20 cents, and Select 387.09, down 2.03.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs are 4.00 lower and feeder pigs are 9.00 lower. Trading 
moderate, with light to moderate demand and moderate to heavy offerings. 
Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 70.74; 40 lbs cash basis 96.25. Hogs on 
Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct Barrows & Gilts 
US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported. Sows live price 
300-449 lbs 63.14, 450-499 lbs 70.37, and 500-549 lbs 71.36.
  SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 3 cents lower, new crop bids 2 to 
3 cents lower; current elevator bids 5.24, new crop elevator bids 4.63-
5.73, current processor bids 5.29-5.54, new crop processor bids 4.93-
5.67. Soybean bids were 6 cents lower, new crop bids 1 cent 
lower; current elevator bids 11.61, new crop elevator bids 11.54, and new 
crop export 12.14-12.18. Wheat bids were 2 to 3 cents lower; elevator 
bids 5.04-5.69, and processors 4.84-7.59.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 49 cents 
higher at 74.14.
