SC Farm Report on Thursday
Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Compared to last week no
comparisons made due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 495.00, 500-600 lbs 485.00. Feeder Heifers:
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 410.00-415.00, 500-600 lbs 350.00-370.00.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 440.00-480.00, 500-600 lbs
370.00-400.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 159.00-179.00; Boners
80-85% lean 153.00-169.00; Lean 85-90% lean 140.00-162.00; Lean Low
Dressing 107.50-139.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 185.00-190.00,
High Dressing 209.00-221.00, low dressing 186.00.

Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-320 lbs live price was 70.24. Sows
live price 300-450 lbs 52.28; 450-500 lbs 60.70; 500-550 lbs 63.72.
SC Grain on Thursday. Corn bids were mostly steady to 1 cent lower, one
location 14 cents higher, New crop bids were 1 cent lower; current
elevator bids 5.18, new crp elevator buds 4.99-5.79, current processor
bids 5.52-5.67, new crop processor bids 5.49. Soybean bids were 2 cents
lower, New crop bids 2 cents lower; current elevator bids 11.42, new crop
elevator bids 11.53, processor bids n/a, and new crop export 11.98. Wheat
bids were 2 to 5 cents lower, New crop bids were 5 cents lower; current
elevator bids 5.62, new crop elevator bids 5.82, current processor bid
5.07.
Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.30
lower at 80.50.
