SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1 400-
500 lbs 490.00-545.00, 500-600 lbs 435.00-462.50. Feeder Bulls: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 475.00-525.00, 500-600 lbs 410.00-480.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 450.00-470.00, 500-600 lbs 
372.50-445.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 170.00-188.00; Boners 
80%-85% lean 157.00-197.00; Lean 85-90% lean 145.00-172.50; Lean low 
dressing 115.00-152.50. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 195.00-217.00; 
High Dressing 208.00-227.00; Low Dressing 185.00.  
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1040-1140 lbs Middle Aged Cows with

   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs weighted average live price 
was 70.62. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 63.83; 450-500 lbs 72.26; 500-550 
lbs 72.72.
   SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn bids were 2 cenys higher, new crop bids 
steady to 1 cent higher; elevator bids 5.23, processor bids 5.38-5.58. 
Soybean bids were mixed, 4 cents lower to 12 cents higher; elevator bids 
11.36, and export 11.81. Wheat bids were 2 to 9 cents higher; elevator 
bids 5.76, and processors 5.08.
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 19 cents 
lower at 69.25.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
