SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1 400-
500 lbs 435.00-550.00, 500-600 lbs 415.00-457.50. Feeder Bulls: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 470.00-545.00, 500-600 lbs 420.00-480.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 465.00-490.00, 500-600 lbs 
385.00-415.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 169.00-185.00; Boners 
80%-85% lean 163.00-184.00; Lean 85-90% lean 146.00-165.00; Lean low 
dressing 133.00-142.50. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 177.50-200.00;

   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs weighted average live price 
was 70.68. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 71.12; 450-500 lbs 76.16; 500-550 
lbs 80.90.
   SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn bids were steady, new crop bids 
Mixed 8 cents lower to 2 cents higher; elevator bids 5.19, processor bids 
5.34. Soybean bids were 2 cents higher; elevator bids 11.22, and export 
11.82. Wheat bids were steady to 8 cents lower; elevator bids 5.50, and 
processors 5.04.
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 83 cents 
higher at 68.02.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
