SC Cattle Auctions Weekly Review: No comparisons due to limited
comparable sales. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-450 lbs 390.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-450 lbs 430.00. Slaughter Cows:
Boners 80-85% lean 152.00-154.00; High Dressing 165.00-170.00; Lean 85-
90% lean 110.00-116.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average dressing 1260 lbs
177.50.
Goats: 18 reported Monday to Wednesday. Slaughter and replacement
classes sold on a per head basis and weights are estimated. Kids: Sel 1
70-100 lbs 170.00. Does/Nannies: Sel 1 70-100 lbs 100.00-125.00.
Bucks/Billies: Sel 1 50-70 lbs 95.00, 70-100 lbs 95.00-115.00, 100-150
lbs 180.00; Sel 2 70-100 lbs 75.00.
SC Grain on Thursday. Corn bids were mostly 2 to 3 cents lower, one
location 17 cents higher, New crop 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator bids
3.88-5.03, processor bids 4.78-5.18. Soybean bids were mixed, 8 cents
lower to 2 cents higher; elevator bids 9.29-10.84, processor bids n/a,
and export 11.04. Wheat bids were 3 cents lower; elevator bids 4.98, and
processor bids 6.88.
Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade 31 cents
lower at 61.67.
