Compared to last week, following the Labor Day weekend, feeder cattle receipts
were lower, with offerings consisting mostly of plainer-quality cattle. With a
slight rebound in feeder cattle futures, feeder steers and bulls sold $5.00 to
$10.00 higher. Feeder heifers sold unevenly, ranging from $10.00 lower to
$10.00 higher on a light test. Slaughter cattle sold $5.00 to $10.00 lower.
