Compared to last week, feeder supply was moderate, with calves weighing over
500 lb being lightly tested. Lightweight 300 lb steers sold steady to $3.00
higher, while steers weighing over 300 lb sold $7.00 lower. Feeder heifers sold
$8.00 lower. Demand remained good; however, with the feeder cattle futures
board posting additional losses today, buyers were more cautious. Slaughter
cattle sold $5.00 to $10.00 lower.
