Compared to last Wednesday: Feeder steers under 600 lbs. sold 4.00-6.00 higher
and those over 600 lbs. were 4.00-6.00 lower. Feeder heifers traded steady to
2.00 higher. The demand for feeder calves was firm even though the feeder and
fat cattle futures have fallen significantly in recent days. Weaned calves in
favorable condition are still drawing premiums. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00
lower on a lesser quality offering and slaughter bulls were steady on a light
test.
