Compared to last week, the best tests of steers and heifers weighing 450lbs to
700lbs sold mostly 6.00 to 15.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold from 1.00 lower to
2.00 higher, and slaughter bulls were 2.00 to 4.00 higher. The feeder cattle
futures board has been consistently trending down the past couple weeks, and
many buyers are proceeding with caution in the auction barns and keeping
decisions more conservative this week.
