Compared to last Thursday the feeder market was lower with an average quality
offering. Feeder steers and heifers were sharply lower across most weight
classes with a good supply and limited demand. Increased heat and humidity
coupled with more negative pressure from the futures market has limited some
buyers interests and the premiums they are willing to pay. Slaughter cows
were steady with a good supply and slaughter bulls were 4.00 to 6.00 lower with
a large supply and moderate demand.
