SLAUGHTER CATTLE 243 120 155
Compared to last Thursday the feeder market was stronger with a good quality
offering. Light weight feeder steers 450 lbs and under were sharply higher with
strong demand, while the 500-700 lbs steers were steady to 2.00 higher with a
good supply. Yearling steers appeared steady but with limited comparisons.
Feeder heifers 350 lbs and under were sharply higher, while heifers over 450
lbs were mostly 2.00 to 4.00 higher, except for the 600 lbs weaned and value
added groups that were sharply higher. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady
with a large supply and good demand.
